PROJECT OFFICER, ARTICLE 25
August 2010 - September 2011, London
In this voluntary position with UK-based charity, I gained experience of working from a UK office to support teams in the field. Our projects focussed on disaster risk reduction and development in post-conflict regions.
My role included:

Developing the monitoring framework, and managing reporting for a Strategic Review of Educational Infrastructure for the Government of Afghanistan. I managed reports coming from the field, and prepared the final report and accounts for audit. Following the success of this work, Article 25 were awarded a $1m contract to build the capacity of the Ministry of Education and other project partners in Afghanistan.

Coordinating project feasibility studies for teams in Sri Lanka, Burkina Faso and Nigeria.

Liaising with clients, contractors and consultants on design and implementation of projects on site in Uganda, Haiti and Sierra Leone.

Developing community engagement strategies and preparing project design workshops to be run with local community based organisations.

Managing day-to-day administration and reporting for the above projects.
