PROGRAMME OFFICER, COLLABORATIVE MEDIA ADVOCACY PLATFORM (CMAP)
October 2011 - December 2012, London, UK / Port Harcourt, Nigeria
As one of only four people working full-time to start up the CMAP programme, I oversaw the design and management of a variety of projects. Together these contributed to the CMAP's overall strategic objectives in housing-rights advocacy and informal / slum settlement upgrading.
My varied role encompassed all aspects of the programme to ensure that the necessary resources were in place to progress projects. I organised meetings with community, government and donor stakeholders, made presentations, and carried out market research in preparation for different activities.
I developed programmes and prepared budgets to sit alongside compelling project narratives and through my work on the programme design, led the team in the following successful applications:

-
Comic Relief, People Living in Urban Slums Programme - £500,000
-
United States Institute for Peace, Priority Grants Programme - $51,650
-
Cities Alliance, Catalytic Fund - $207,000
-
Amnesty International, Netherlands Section - €130,000
In this role, I also led a team of local youth to design and build the Chicoco Radio Centre
